Ghostly Train Death Ride

Beginning of the story
Sandhya studied in a college in Delhi, 500 km away from her village. And now college exams were going on there. Sandhya was smart in studies.
But she liked reading horror stories more. She kept reading some book or the other.
After her college exams were over, Sandhya reached the Delhi railway station to catch a train to go to her village.
It was evening time. And this train used to run from Delhi at night. This was the only train to go to the village. In which her ticket was still in the waiting list.
She had booked the ticket a week ago. But it was still not confirmed. There was a little movement at the station.
It was 10:00 pm and cold wind was blowing around the station.
Sandhya was used to traveling alone. But this time she was feeling something different.
Book Store
Sandhya was sitting on a bench at the station when suddenly her sight fell on a small book store at the station.
Sandhya got up and went to the book store. She started looking for a horror story book to read.
The owner of the book store looked very strange but Sandhya was quietly busy looking at the books. Then Sandhya asked that person, ‘Is there no horror story book here?’
But that man did not answer. Sandhya asked that person again but that man was quietly staring at Sandhya.
For some time that man kept staring at Sandhya, then suddenly took out a horror book ‘Bhootiya Train’ from the old cupboard and gave it to her.
Then suddenly the sound of the train started coming. Sandhya quickly took that book and started leaving from there.
As soon as she boarded the train, she decided to sit on an empty seat.
Instead of looking for the ticket checker, she sat in a corner and took out the same book from her bag and started reading it.
She was fond of reading horror stories and she decided to spend this journey also reading the book.
Train Running
The train started moving slowly, the night was getting darker. And the number of passengers in the train was decreasing.
There was a strange silence in the train compartment. After about an hour, when the train stopped at a deserted station, Sandhya realized that the seats around her were empty.
She looked around but there was no sign of any passenger.
Suddenly the ticket checker came to her and asked for the ticket, Sandhya gave him the waiting list ticket.
The checker looked at her with deep eyes and said, Do you know that this train is haunted?
Sandhya laughed and said, I don’t believe in superstitions.
The ticket checker smiled and moved ahead, but as soon as he got out of the train, Sandhya felt that someone was standing behind her.
She slowly turned her neck, but there was no one there. Her heart started beating fast.
For some time, she kept sitting on her seat and looking here and there. Then she got lost in reading the book again, after some time when she was reading the book, suddenly the pages of the book turned by themselves.
Sandhya got scared and closed the book. Then the lights of the train started blinking dimly and the air suddenly became cold. He felt as if someone standing nearby was breathing.
Return of ticket checker
After some time the ticket checker came again but this time his face had turned pale.
He said in a trembling voice, get up from here, this seat is not for you.
Sandhya asked in shock, why?
The checker replied softly, because this seat belongs to a passenger who died last year and still travels here.
On hearing this, the windows of the train started shaking and the doors started opening automatically. Sandhya looked around in panic, but there was no other passenger.
The ticket checker slowly started disappearing. Black smoke was coming out of his eyes and in no time he vanished into the air, Sandhya screamed.
Suddenly she felt that someone has caught her legs.
When she looked down, a scary figure like a skeleton was coming out from under the seat.
There were no eyes on its face, but it was staring at Sandhya.
Sandhya tried with all her might to leave her seat and run away but the speed of the train increased, ghostly screams started echoing all around.
Handprints appeared on the windows of the train.
Sandhya tried with all her might to open the window, but nothing was working.
Then she remembered that all this had started after reading a book. She quickly threw the book out of the train.
As soon as the book fell out of the train, the noises suddenly stopped. The lights came back on in the train.
The windows became stable and everything seemed normal. Sandhya breathed a sigh of relief.
But then a slow scary voice came from the loudspeaker of the train, ‘Did you think it was over? The next station will be your last.’ And with this the train entered the tunnel, where darkness prevailed forever.
